JunkYardFieldTrip – Lucky One

Reviewed by JDC

A beautiful piece of music. The use of the multiple instruments and the flow of this track is powerful and engaging. Only accomplished musicians can pull this off, as well as needing a great ear for where to put it all. That is certainly the case here.

A singer has a challenge when the bed of music underneath the vocal is so strong that it stands on its own. I want to say that the singer rides the different chord changes effortlessly, but I know full well that it wasn’t effortless at all, he just has the talent and impressive intuition to make it sound that way. The fact that I can listen to this song over and over again without tiring of it makes me “the lucky one”
