Kevin DeHond – You Were Made For Me

Reviewed by JDC

The bigger production in this song from what I’ve heard in the past from this artist almost scared me but I’m OK now. Big horn production and tasty breaks usually is a call for the singer to step up and wail. That’s what I wanted to hear. I wanted to hear him stretch out from his normal laid-back style. After about the third time through, I started getting it. The understated vocal has a nice uniqueness to it. Keeping the smoothness makes the songwriter stay true to the lyrics. The hefty music behind it shouldn’t sway him from his style. It doesn’t need to. It worked.
